This policy describes the free Unscene macOS beta. Last updated 24 August 2026.

This is a launch draft and must receive legal review and a final contact address before public deployment.

Images and editing

Your original images, brush masks, generated results, and exports are processed through a service bound to your own Mac's loopback interface. The free editor does not upload those images to Unscene.

Model download

On first launch, the app downloads the cleanup model from a third-party model host. That request can reveal ordinary network information such as your IP address to the host. Your photographs are not part of that request.

Accounts and analytics

The free beta requires no account and currently sends no product analytics or crash telemetry to Unscene.

Pro research form

If you choose to open the optional Pro research form, you leave the local editor and visit Tally. Information you submit—including email, workflow, feature preferences, and contact consent—is processed by Tally and used only for Unscene product research and early-access communication. Nothing is purchased.

Retention and deletion

Local images remain wherever you save them. The app stores a model cache and local log files that you can remove by uninstalling the app and deleting its cache/support folders. Pro research responses are retained only while useful for the stated research or until deletion is requested.

Your choices

You can use the free editor without submitting the Pro form. Before launch, this page will include the final privacy contact for access, correction, consent withdrawal, and deletion requests.
